Story

In an attempt to break ties with the suffocating village moral she was raised in, Muriel interviews for a job in the city. As soon as she’s hired, she packs her bags, leaving her stunned parents and boyfriend behind. Muriel rents a room at Laura’s place. At age 35, Laura is everything Muriel would want to be: independent, sensual and adventurous. Laura introduces Muriel to life in the big city, while Muriel further distances herself from the past. But Muriel’s profound insecurities bring her to get caught in a web of lies while she desperately attempts to create a new identity and personality for herself, increasing the gap between her and her loved ones. A gap, which is further enhanced by the fact that they too carry their own secrets of life.
