Out of Love selected for IFFR’s Bright Future

Out of Love, the first feature film by Paloma Aguilera Valdebenito, is part of the selection of the Bright Future main programme of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Aimed to highlight original, up-and-coming directors with an own style and vision, the programme contains 11 world premieres and 12 international premieres from all corners of the world.

Out of Love will have its world premiere at the festival. As of the upcoming edition, filmmakers premiering a first feature work in the  programme of Bright Future, will be celebrated with the new Bright Future Award.

Out of Love encapsulates the sweltering and devastating dynamics of love in the turbulent relationship between Varya (Naomi Velissariou) and Nikolai (Danil Vorobyev, Eastern Boys).

The film is supported by the Netherlands Film Fund, Mediafund, CoBO, NTR (part of De Oversteek), Netherlands Film Production Incentive, MEDIA Programme of the European Union.
