Belgica, the new film by Felix van Groeningen (The Misfortunates, The Broken Circle Breakdown), is supported by Eurimages.
The Flemish/Dutch/French coproduction receives €470.000 production support, as is decided by the Board of Management of the Council of Europe’s Eurimages Fund, at the last meeting held in June 2014.
Belgica tells the story of two brothers – Jo and Frank – and a bar – the Belgica.
The film will be directed by Felix van Groeningen and is based on the screenplay by Felix van Groeningen and Arne Sierens. The film is produced by Menuet (Dirk Impens, Belgium), Topkapi Films (Frans van Gestel, Laurette Schillings, Arnold Heslenfeld) and Pyramide Productions (Francis Boespflug, France).
