Today Carlos Reygadas’ film Post Tenebras Lux will have its premiere in The Palais at Cannes.

The film is a semi-autobiographical film about feelings, memories, dreams, things the director has hoped for, fears, facts of his current life. Reygadas has described it as a work where “reason will intervene as little as possible, like an expressionist painting where you try to express what you’re feeling through the painting rather than depict what something looks like.

The film is selected for the main competition of this years’ Cannes Festival.

Post Tenebras Lux is an international coproduction from NoDream Cinema, Mantarraya (MEX), Le Pacte, Arte France Cinema (FR), Foprocine (MEX), The Match Factory (GER), Topkapi Films (NL) and Ticoman (MEX).
