Sang mêlé, feature film project by Paloma Aguilera Valdebenito, is selected for the De Oversteek’s next development phase. A joint board of broadcasters VPRO and NTR, the Netherlands Filmfund and the Mediafund selected four projects for screenplay development. By the end of this year two film projects will be selected for production funding.
Sang mêlé is a film on the complexity of a destructive relationship. Varya and Nicolae can’t live with and can’t live without each other. In a rough sketch we see their relationship slowly turning over. Without judgement, loving, painful, intimate, romantic and bleak.
The lowbudget film project De Oversteek is a collaboration between public broadcasters, Filmfund and Mediafund to give upcoming talent a chance to realize an arthouse film. Within the context of the ‘Deltaplan Talent’ the CoBO fund is also attached to this initiative.
