Topkapi’s co productions The Broken Circle Breakdown (Felix van Groeningen) and Tanta Agua (Ana Guevara Pose, Leticia Jorge Romero) are both selected for the Panorama selection at the upcoming Berlinale.
The Broken Circle Breakdown is an intense love story between Elise (28) and Didier (36). She runs her own tattoo shop and he is a Flemish cowboy playing the banjo in a small band. It’s love at first sight…although they are worlds apart. Chalk and cheese; completely different and yet perfectly compatible. When their daughter Maybelle is born, their happiness is complete.
The film just had its release in Dutch cinema’s.
Tanta Agua (So Much Water) is the portrayal of a family vacation in which nothing turns out as expected. A story immersed in a decadent semi-deserted thermal spa, surrounded by rain, where the only thing to do is to stay together.
Tanta Agua is supported by Hubert Bals Plus Fund. The film will have its World Premiere in Berlin.
